Will having a wedding ring tattoo on my ring finger cramp my singles ministry?

Posted by admin on October 30th, 2009 and filed under ministry band | 16 Comments »

will be celebrating 13 years of legal obligation to my wife next month. She has been hinting that she wants to get matching wedding band tattoos on our fingers.

First off, I’m not thrilled with the tattoo idea, due to the tattoo = STD connection.

Moreover though, I have a feeling that when I travel overseas on ministry opportunities it will affect my "singles ministry", if you know what I am try to say.

Would other girls, such as Buddhist Asian girls know right away what a tattoo on my wedding finger would mean?

God Bless

Dear God,

Strike him down now.

Thanks,

How come most Seventh Day Adventists do not eat chocolate, cocoa or baking soda?

Posted by admin on October 30th, 2009 and filed under healing ministry | 6 Comments »

Mrs. White writes,

"The use of soda or baking powder in bread making is harmful and unnecessary. Soda causes inflammation of the stomach and often poisons the entire system." (Ministry of Healing, p. 300)

She’s obviously mentally disturbed.
I suggest intensive sessions of electroshocks for her.

Youth Ministry at church – redecorating, color of carpets?

Posted by admin on October 30th, 2009 and filed under church ministry | 3 Comments »

Hello,

We are redecorating our youth sanctuary, we are wondering what kind of color of carpet, or what kind of carpet would really stick out to youth? I personally do not want to get carpet because all the mud from the youth shoes are going to get into it.

If you are an interior designer, who has worked with this stuff, please let me know. I want someone who had dealt with these kind of issues.

I personally was thinking of getting just a neauteral kind of carpet, instead of getting something really out there like polka dot…what do you suggest?

First-there’s good news and not-so-good news! Although, there are many choices, there are limited options to encompass all your needs! We all know how very rambunctious kids can be ( Church Youth or otherwise)! so the solution is to find a happy medium. Here are your guideline parameters:durability, function, cost and lastly creative design.Take a design that coordinates with your overall scheme, head to a flooring provider and divulge your needs and budget.. you should try something in the indoor/ outdoor market or something similar to a ‘romper room ‘ carpet.. you can find ( depending on the s/f you’ll need-) there are different grades to consider, although it may not be your first choice, if its not in the main sanctuary, I suggest trying a second hand flooring/carpet provider such as a remant dealer..they also may have off market selections not privy to the general public! Its durable, kid friendly ( though not to toddlers knees ) and can last for years.. try to find one with a variable color scheme, as solids tend to wear down in high traffic areas, such as the front door -vestibule area! Cleaning care is minimal on this type of carpet too, so that is another factor to consider..In review: it wears well, it’s affordable, durable and longevity are all available for this type of floor covering!
Good luck in your endeavors- and may God Bless your Good stewardship.

Happy decorating!

Is anyone going to Prayer in the Square on Sunday?

Posted by admin on October 30th, 2009 and filed under prayer ministry | 2 Comments »

It’s been organised by Times Square Church (David Wilkerson’s church) and over 320 churches, 65 youth groups and 110 college ministries are coming together in New York to pray as one. Would *LOVE* to have been there… wow. But so is anyone going? If there are Christians in your contacts, please will you let them know, as well?

i would like to start a christian based youth ministry in my area where to start?

Posted by admin on October 30th, 2009 and filed under christian ministry | 8 Comments »

I want to start a youth group up but have no idea how to go about starting it. I know this is what God wants me to do but i have no idea what i am doing or where i am to start or even how to start.. so confused on the issue. and its driving me crazy cause i feel like i am not doing what he wants.

Why not let thee kids develop critical thinking skills before you force religion onto them? Because kids will believe anything when their young. Heck they even believe Santa Claus!

Can I burn multi formats on one media to advertise my ministry at chruch (webpage -html, dvd and audio)?

All of this on one CD or other media….. IS this possible and where do I go to find out how?

Getting a health certificate from the USDA or Ministry of Agriculture?

Posted by admin on October 30th, 2009 and filed under ministry | 1 Comment »

My dog is coming with us on vacation to the US from Brazil. I know that we require documentation from the Ministry of Agriculture here in Brazil in order for him to clear customs in the US, and the same documentation from the USDA in order for Macho to clear customs in Brazil. What do I have to do, or what documentation do I need to bring/ have in order to get the certificate of health?

Thanks for any advice from experienced travelers with pets!
Did you get Penfold microchipped yet? Oh, I bet he’s tattooed, right? ;* Bjs!

When I take Penfold fairy bear and myself out of the country they charge us extra to come home because they don’t want us to leave even though we can’t wait to because we got poisoned and are half dead.

Sorry I dunno much but I starred because I have American friends with amnimals and they are themselves furry.

Is there a church in the Shreveport, LA area that is involved in the Angel Food Ministries program?

Posted by admin on October 30th, 2009 and filed under ministries | 1 Comment »

This is a program that provides food to anyone who wishes to participate. For $25.00 one would receive $70.00 to $80.00 worth of food. South Plains Church of Christ in Lubbock, TX is involved in this ministry.

this is a link for the angel food ministries in LA you can pick one that is closest to you

i belive the one closest to you is BOSSIER CITY since it is only about 9 or 10 miles from Shreveport
