Hi! I am a junior in HS. I still have a little while to go before graduation but I want to make sure I get what needs to be done done. I have been serving with the children ministry at my church for about 6 years now and I have just a great heart for it. I would like to go on and become the leader of Children Ministry at a church. What my question is what is the best pathway to this? like is there a preference for colleges? or what classes should you take etc. Any opinions at all are helpful thanks!
You can visit or volunteer in a variety of children’s program and school programs. You may be able to begin taking classes at your local community college while still in high school.
Along with Bible study in I think it’s critical to take child development classes, curriculum development, leadership, supporting parents, budget or business management, and supervision of volunteers/ employees. The more professional skills you gain the better. You can check in your area to find quality child development programs to visit. Great programs aren’t flashy but children are treated with a great deal of respect and the program is interactive. Best wishes in your work. =)

Is it illegal for Christian channels to advertise, wouldn’t that help generate money for their ministries?
