they split up in 2008

My loving husband has been disabled for about a year. He is fully healed after a couple of surgeries and he has to go back to work because his disability will be ending. I suggested he go to school because the job market is crazy in So. Cali. He has not updated his resume and just hanging around. Not really looking for work or going to school. Anyway, last night he confessed that he plans to go into Ministry full time. He wants to serve the Lord 100%. I support him but what about supporting our family. Am I being selfish? I don’t want to move our family of 5 in a 1 bedroom (been there) and move our kids out a of school (they have been 4 schools) I want some stability. I told him that I would love to be more involved with church and our community but I want him to work so we can pay our rent. The worst part is, he doesn’t have a plan and is used to me making all the arrangements. I don’t want to lead his hand in this. HELP with all your love and suggestions.
Let me just add that YOU need two incomes in California to survive. Our rent alone is $1450.00 and that’s the cheapest around.

"But if any man does not provide for his own, and especially for those of his household, he has denied the faith and is worse than an unbeliever." 1 Timothy 5:8

Ministry is leading and you lead by example. If he is not providing for his household then it would be impossible to lead other men in their roles as the bible has commanded.

You are not being selfish. However, STOP making the arrangements. He will never step back into his role if you are doing it for him. That can be done in a gentle manner. Speak with your pastor or a leader in your church for guidance.

Hang on to Philippians 4:13 and I believe you WILL do all things!

I have a friend who has recently left a home church in bexley because she realized that it was a cult (Church of the risen Messiah), it is run by a man named gary leondis who claims to have been taught at the ‘children’s bread ministry/church’ yet there are no contact numbers or addresses to be found. Any help would be greatly appreciated.
I am not looking for the United states branch but one that is in Australia please.
The man above that I have mentioned is holding his "church" meetings in a private home and has many good people under his spell, my friend was almost sucked in, and I would like more info on them so that what he is doing can be brought out into the open, my question is most important to me and any info that I get would be most appreciated…..Thank you.
After further research, I have found out that this group did in fact "exist" but have changed their name to something else, but as far as I know they still reside in Parramatta.

2. There is nothing on the internet about an Australian church called the Children’s Bread Ministry.

When people are trying to go into ministry, how do they know that it is God’s will or their want? How do they God is leading if situation seems to go wrong? I’ve been trying to apply for a job so that I can take a ministry training for campus ministry early next year. People only have once in a life time opportunity to become a staff once they graduate. Therefore, I’ve been looking for a job so that I can save up. I’ve been looking for a job for like five month now. However,it was hard for me to find a job. If I have financial struggles, does that mean God want me to give up since it might not be beneficial for me? or does that mean God want me to give up secular work and serve him? I have option of self support raising so is it his will for me to do that if finacial answer for a job is being shut down? if the prayer for getting a job is being shut down, what does that mean? Just go into ministry believing in that other people would support? or is God telling me? What is the reality? Would it be better for to go into ministry believing in that other people would support or not do it because financially I am not stable? how does minister deal with financial problem before going into ministry?

First the question would be what denomination are you seeking to be a minister in. Most mainline denominations require a Masters degree to even get an entry level position.

I have been in campus ministry for 5 years and alot of what you are saying I don’t understand. Once in a lifetime upon graduation? Not being able to take another option to put yourself through school so you can get the credentials? None of this sounds like any denomination I know of.

What are the jobs you are applying for saying about your credentials and why they are not hiring you.

As far as how do ministers deal with fiancial problems before going into ministry, I hate to tell you this but the financial problems pretty much remain the same after you go into ministry (not big paychecks). And most denominations do expect you to earn your own way through your degree.

Financial troubles are not God calling you to or pushing you away from something. IF you want to do it, feel the need to do it, and are willing to face the struggles to do it then that is what God wants you to do.

My missionary friend wants to serve God here in Canada but he needs Christian Ministries or Churches that could help him like doing church planting, missions trips, preaching, please if you have some information that I can use, I will be so gratefull, God Bless you

No, we don’t do that here. Religious people in Canada don’t run around doing ‘missions’. Those that want to believe DO, those who don’t believe DON’T.

We don’t need anyone preaching from street corners.

While I brew up, here’s the climax of Lee Stoneking’s miraculous resurrection after 30 minutes dead:-

I can add that I’ve often had temporary relief from health problems in answer to prayer

Though those problems returned when ‘trigger’ conditions recurred, I still thank God for those times of relief

As the Bible teaches, several times in several ways, if we ask God anything in line with His will, we are to believe that we have received whatever we ask, even before it becomes visible, & we shall have it

So it’s true to say that I’m healed – even though that can’t yet be seen – my healing is on its way, praise God!
