Does anyone have a prayer need tonight?

Posted by admin on February 27th, 2010 and filed under prayer ministry | 23 Comments »

I would like people to pray for direction for me and my wife. We are looking to enter full time ministry, and we need Gods guidence. I am a Pastor, but we feel we are to be in full time ministry .

Alrighty. I started a Bible study with a few of my friends last Saturday over Revelation. I would like guidance and understanding because I am learning along with the group. Good luck with this not getting deleted. :)

Does it bother anyone else that when you turn on christian programing that there is a 3 minute promo. about how annointed john smith is….or that john is such a great guy highly favored of the lord …or that for an extra 6 thousand dollars you too can travel to isreal and have this wonderful guy pray with you and show you where jesus was crucified ..etc… or maybe you need to take our couples cruise and spend 5 days on a boat in the carribian with mr. super annointed guy …Blah blah blah …Am I the only one here who’s caught this??? Why waste 7 minutes of airtime and a quarter million dollars telling everyone how wonderful you are with graphics and video editing of women in tears and such …..Shouldn’t the name of jesus be emphisized and our own decreased.?? How about it ??? …agree or disagree???
OK folks…I’m not asking for the name of your ministry ….. RATHER asking you if you are bothered by the self promotion of preachers….
p.s. I’ve been a christian for 20 +years
hmm…. thought there would be more insightful comments on the subject

If it brings someone to Christ there is no limit on how much money I’m willing to spend to spread the word. However I wouldn’t give money to people for them to accept Christ – I would do things like radio announcements, comercials, banners on websites, etc. that would promote the Gospel.

My ministry is the ministry of Jesus the Christ

How does ministry of sound find artists?

Did The Undertaker returned with the Ministry of Darkness gimmick?

Posted by admin on February 27th, 2010 and filed under ministry | 4 Comments »

That outfit looks like the Ministry of Darkness gimmick. If that so, why he returned with that gimmick?

It’s just an attire to keep his character "fresh". It doesn’t mean he’s bringing back the gimmick. A gimmick isn’t an attire, it’s the character that makes the gimmick (most of the time).

Have you ever ordered food from the angel food ministries? What is your opinion of the food?

http://www.angelfoodministries.com the site for reference if you are not sure what I am talking about.

My aunt ordered from them, and gave us the items she did not want. The highest quality items are about on par with supermarket brands. The lowest quality items are practically inedible. She made a point that the meat "smelled of chemicals", which I guess is to be expected After we declined her generosity on the second order, she decided it wasn’t worth it, and didn’t order again.

Here is a longer review from the net which basically concurs with our conclusion.

Angel Food Ministries is a non-profit, non-denominational organization which offers food to everyone at discounted price. Their site says that the food includes restaurant grade meats, frozen vegetables, fruits, dairy products, etc. which they receive producers/vendors of high quality, name brand foods.

The price is $25 per box of food. Then box contains a diverse menu of mostly raw foods such as meats, noodles, dinner kits, condiments, and more. The menu changes monthly. The program, along with the $25 menu, offers a few specials costing around $18 each and features mainly meats such as NY strip steaks and thick-cut pork chops.

Angel Food says that each $25 regular box menu has a retail value of approximately $42 to $78. One box should to feed a family of four for about one week or a single senior citizen for almost a month.

People, who want to buy a box, go to their nearest church host site, place their orders and pay for the food with cash or food stamps by the month’s posted registration deadline. Near the middle of the month, at a posted date, the food arrives and is distributed at the host site.

For more Information, visit the Angel Food Ministries website.

We bought one box. It is not the best tasting food. About 25% was very good, another 25% was acceptable, 25% was barely acceptable, but the other 25% was not good at all. Their meat has a bit of preservatives that ruin much of the taste. It’s really hit or miss.

Here is the $25 menu I received:

(6) 4 oz. Hamburger Steaks with Bacon
(1) 2 lbs. Salisbury Steak Entree w/ Gravy
(4) 6 oz. Pork Chops
(1) 2 lb. Breaded Chicken Breast Filets
(1) 1 lb. Ground Beef
(1) 2 lb. Breaded Chicken Fritters
(1) 12 in. Tostino’s Pizza Rolls
(1) 16 oz. Corn Dogs
(1) 20 oz. French Fries
(1) 16 oz. Corn
(1) 15 oz. Pork & Beans
(1) 16 oz. Bean Soup Mix
(1) 16 oz. Rice
(1) 6 oz. Pancake Mix
(1) 16 oz. Green Beans
(1) 30 oz. Apple Pie

Bethel Music Ministry

THE MINISTRY

The Bethel Music Ministry was conceptualized from the visionary directive given to our founder Mr. Fikru Aligaz. While a student at MidAmerica Nazarene University was given the go-ahead to start a music ministry to enrich the praise and worship music of Ethiopian churches in North America and the rest of the world.

Bethel Music Ministry was formed in April 1992 as a not-for profit tax-exempt Kansas Corporation. The organization is led by board, which includes the president, treasurer, secretary and a trustee. We are a non-denominational evangelical organization.

BETHEL PRAISE AND WORSHIP CHOIR

After a long gestation period, in 1998, over thirty men and women from different parts of the state as well as different walks of life came together to form the Bethel Praise and Worship Choir. One thing we all share in common is the Lord Jesus Christ and how he has, and continues to impact our lives and the lives of the people we minister.

Since then, the Choir has traveled twice a year to multiple locations in the US including Atlanta, Columbus, OH., Dallas, TX., Denver, CO., Houston, TX., Olathe, KS., Los Angeles, CA., Minneapolis, MN. Phoenix, AZ. Seattle, WA., Washington, D.C. and Rome, Italy.

•It is the intention of this ministry to see believers, and worshipers in the church who seek the intimacy of the secret place with the Father. Also, to see people have their bodies touched, their minds renewed, and their wounded hearts healed.
•No matter the size of the congregation, it is our desire to bring a fresh positive approach Just as the ancient Levites, priests, and musicians led the Israelites into battle with songs of praise and worship, a new generation is discovering the power of a broken and contrite heart, lifted up to God in expressions of love and adoration.
•Day and night they never stop saying: Holy, holy, holy is the Lord God Almighty, who was, and is, and is to come. Whenever the living creatures give glory, honor and thanks to Him who sits on the throne”…the twenty-four elders fall down before Him, and worship Him who lives forever and ever. They lay their crowns before the throne. Revelation 4:8-11 (NIV)

Could you take a moment to Fervently pray for me? for my prayer request?

Posted by admin on February 25th, 2010 and filed under prayer ministry | 1 Comment »

I graduated from college in 06 and after my graduation, I was at a mission field doing campus ministry. Upon returning to the state, I was thinking that I was going into minstry but it did not happen. I was looking for jobs at the same time, but somehow I realized that job is really hard to find. I am delaying my seminary and if God really calls me, I would do it again. However I need a job right now. It seems lik windows of opportunity is not being opened for me. I’ve been searching for jobs like 7 months now. That is 7 months. I am looking for entry level office work but door is not being opened although I am doing some interviews, not too much. Could you pray 4 wisdom, joy, strenghth & that I would get a job soon in midst of my difficulty, hardship? I feel emotionally not healthy now and dont know what realthy would be. Could you pray for me for mercy, and doors to be opened in my life? I am needing fervent, desperate prayers, words, encouragements, your experences in searching 4 job

Heavenly Father – I come to You on behalf of George, who is needing direction in his life. I believe with all my heart that when You call someone into a ministry, You will equip them with the means necessary to ensure the Gospel of Jesus Christ is proclaimed to people who need Your Son. I pray that You will open doors of opportunity for him, and supply His needs. He is tired in body and mind, and I pray that You will comfort Him as only You know how to do. I pray his heart be filled with joy and peace. These things I ask in Jesus’ Name, Amen. God bless you!!!

Psalm 31:24 – "Be of good courage, and he shall strengthen your heart, all ye that hope in the Lord."
