I live in Canada. A friend of mine has some VHS videos from the early 1980’s. These are videos from a church ministry that no longer is in production, so you can not purchase DVD versions. What they want to do is make DVD backups. They have purchased a VCR to play them but one day they will wear out and they would like to make sure they won’t lose these videos. Is this illegal?
No, it’s totally legal., provided that they do not sell or loan out the originals or the copies.
Is it legal to make DVD backups of out of production VHS videos in Canada?
What relationship did Jesus’ wussy goody-goody Teachings have with his healing people of ailment and deformity?
Lots of people who are quite interested in being healed by Jesus, but have no use for his "ridiculous" and ugly "Enlightened Teachings," such as "turn the other cheek," "give away your hard-earned property," "hate your loving relatives," and "break The Sabbath- if you’ve got an excuse Moses would never have accepted."
Then there are those who don’t mind even the most grotesque privations in the pursuit of Jesus’ Doctrines, setting themselves up to endure the most terrible persecutions and ugly inconveniencies upon themselves and their "loved ones," in the Name of Jesus- but at the same time regard it as presumptuous heresy, even blasphemy, to expect Jesus to heal them, raise their dead, or perform any other practical-application miracle on their behalf.
That is, lots of Christians have decided, for whatever reason, to believe these things to be mutually exclusive in relationship to one another.
I believe that Jesus’ healing Ministry is explained by the Teaching:
LUKE 15:7.
7. "I say unto you,
‘That likewise joy shall be in Heaven
over one sinner that repenteth,
more than over ninety and nine just persons,
which need no repentance.’ "
WHICH WAS illustrated in the famous "PRODIGAL SON" Parable.
People who never bought anything like a 24-tape teaching sermon from Jesus or his Disciples, nor had to put their hands on a TV screen, nor became "Seed-Faith Partners," achieved spectacular healings and even received loved-ones from the dead, without any of the advanced technical instruction modern Faith Healers impose on their followers today- often without result.
What did Jesus do right that our people are missing today?
No Living Thing is self-sustaining, except God. Every Living Being is fed by a chain of packets of Living Energy in the form of balls or rings of living fire, to those who can *see.*
When a person commits sin, they forfeit the ability to efficiently assimilate this energy influx, and it begins to inflict damage on the organism, which eventually results in its death.
The creatures called "Devils" prolong their lives by partially closing themnselves off from this energy influx, which forces them to gain life energy by stealing it from other creatures, and scavenging it from the newly-dead.
Those who keep God’s Commandments gradually accumulate Life Energy which can be used to enhance their *livingness.*
Sinners accumulate negative energy which hastens their demise.
If a sinner repents of their sins, and returns to Righteousness, there is a sudden influx of energy due to the implementation of several Commandment-agreements with God.
This influx can be used to HEAL, and more!
The "goody goody" teachings of Jesus as you so disrespectfully put it, were backed by his sacrifice, ripped to shreds by Roman scourging, and left to die a suffocating grisly death.
Why? For the very healing you are puzzled about.
Isaiah 53:5 tells us he gave his bodily sacrifice for our physical healing.
He gave his blood for our eternal life, upon repentance.
That’s when your "energy influx” will happen, not by the wishful thinking you are expounding.
What do you make of this healing episode from the ministry of Smith Wigglesworth (see details)?
As I was looking through my letters one day while in the city of Belfast, a man came up to me and
said, “Are you visiting the sick?”
He pointed me to go to a certain house and told me to go to it and there I would see a very sick woman. I went to the house and I saw a very helpless woman propped up in bed.
I knew that humanly speaking she was beyond all help. She was breathing with short, sharp breaths as if every breath would be her last.
I cried to the Lord and said, “Lord, tell me what to do.” The Lord said to me, “Read the fifty-third chapter of Isaiah.” I opened my Bible and did as I was told. I read down to the fifth verse of this chapter, when all of a sudden the woman shouted, “I am healed! I am healed!”
I was amazed at this sudden exclamation and asked her to tell me what had happened. She said, “Two weeks ago I was cleaning house and I strained my heart very badly. Two physicians have been to see me, but they both told me there was no help. But last night the Lord gave me a vision. I saw you come right into my bedroom. I saw you praying. I saw you open your Bible at the fifty-third chapter of Isaiah. When you got down to the fifth verse and read the words, ‘With His stripes we are healed,’ I saw myself wonderfully healed. That was a vision, now it is a fact.”
You see in that episode not only a healing miracle of the sort Jesus did in the gospels, but also visions like the ones in Acts of the apostles.
People see what they want to see….. An atheists would claim is was coincidence and could be proven to be a *flesh thing* or some such nonsense… I have read many books on Wigglesworth, read the testimonies of people who have *seen*, etc…. I believe he was one of the VERY FEW who had the right attitude and faith to perform such miracles…..
What percentage of the healing ministry of Jesus Christ was done through deliverance?
Can someone please help if there is a link that compares healing in its regular sense, with healing by deliveance of some kind of "spirit of infirmity" and gives an accurate comparison of the two. In the ministry of Jesus Id appreciate it.
I asked for an answer to a question… it is a question that an answer exists to regardless of whether you believe in Jesus.
There was a large amount of Jesus ministry that was recorded in the bible.. A percentage of this was said to be done through "deliverance" Im not asking for someone to agree with me that it was genuine, but the least i can expect is an attempt at an answer…
Jesus did not heal anybody. It is a myth.

help with Teen Christian Ministry?
I am starting a Christian ministry for teenagers. I need some ideas. What do you think?
Info: We’re in a small town, hoping to go bigger. In the south. I’m a teen myself and my friend and I are teaming up on making this happen.
Thanks for the help…(:
you should see about getting an adult to supervise and lead the group. Most adults will not permit their kid to hang out with a church group that has no one to supervise it. Give your ideas to what you think would be good activities or suggestions on how to make it go well to the person whom ends up leading.
sharing ministry from a couple from my church?
just sharing this ministry video from a sister from my church. She has these video series of teaching values women should know that are based on scriptures. This is actually her husband’s youtube account and I just now found out his wife has her own series that she’s been broadcasting. I recommend seeing both his preaching and his wife’s teaching stuff.

Didn’t watch the whole thing, but what I did watch certainly does need to be taught and I would hope that God will bless her ministry. There is so much evil on here it is refreshing to see a little purity.
Is it wrong for musicians in christian contemporary music, gospel, etc to make money off of Jesus?
Yes, I know christian musicians spread the word of Jesus through music and ministry, but isn’t it wrong to make such huge amounts of money off of God and Jesus’ name and teachings? I’m sure a lot of them donate money to worthy causes, but they still earn huge earnings from CDs, concerts, books, and radio/TV appearances. It just doesn’t seem right to self-profit so much from God and Jesus.
Christian musicians are just music business professionals who sell their music to a specific musical niche market. That market is willing to pay money for that brand of music. It’s nothing more complicated than that. If they can make a living doing it, more power to them. I know I would never buy their stuff, ’cause I’m not interested in that kind of music, but enough other people are that they can make a go of it. Fine with me.
What do you think of preachers who take in donations from their congregation to supposedly spread "God’s word," and tend to the spiritual well being of their flock, but who spread out and get heavily involved in politics and other secular endeavors?
What are all the Spanish-speaking nations within the 10/40 window?
I have been considering taking up full time ministry. I don’t know what that looks like exactly so foreign missions is still up in the air. I will definitely be a prayer warrior as I make myself available for God’s will. I was just wondering, if any at all, what are all the Spanish-speaking countries in the 10/40 window? I am fluent in Spanish and was wondering if there were any nations I might be able to consider reaching out to before considering taking up another language.
Well by 10/40 I think you mean latitude 10 to 40.Next week I go to Guyana which is just S. of # 10.Where I live in Canada it is at 42 degrees N.In between these you will find Panama,Costa Rica,Cuba,Dom.R.,Nicaragua,El Salvador,Guatemala,Honduras and Mexico.Hablo español cada dia y estoy asistiendo a una Iglesia Hispana todos los Domingos en el Canadá.Recuerde al Señor Jesús porque él es nuestra sola esperanza.Dios le bendiga.
Church/Ministry in Indianapolis?
I am looking for a church/ministry in Indianapolis that is small with a family atmosphere, where the man of God knows the Word but doesn’t solely have to use the Bible, where people recognize that you can’t have a relationship with God and dislike the people around you. I am truly looking for a place where I can grow and fellowship spiritually.

does the catholic church approve of the church of God ministry of jesus christ international?
Well i recently went to the Church of God ministry and i was wondering if the catholic church approves of this small church? or if anyone can give me more information about this church and what it is how it works and how it varies from the catholic church.
Well i went because a friend of mine told me that the catholic church approves of it or something like that, but i don’t exactly know what they mean of approve. Just looking into them to see what they are and stuff like that.
"approves of"?
Well, I do not believe the Church "approves" of any churches beside its own. All other churches have at least some heretical doctrine.
But, from my limited google research, it is a disorganized collection of several church bodies and it descends from pentecostals who tend to be quite opposed to the Church. But, since they are really just a collection of a whole bunch of bodies, it is hard to pin down exactly what they believe in.
