handmaidens ministries inc does their community service work for the courts?

I have to do community service for my local court and I was wondering if anyone knows if the courts usually accept this organization as a way to do your community service? It seems to me it is a 50/50 shot? please help!

Only one person can answer your question accurately – whomever you are working with in the court. Every court is different – some allow you to volunteer at religious orgs, some prohibit it.

What ministries have you been involved in?

I want you to tell me what ministries have made you feel the fullest after you finished.
Mine was my camp work I did from 2000-2002 up in Maine. I got to work with youth and special needs campers. I still think fondly about that time in my life.
Also, I got to go on a mission trip to South Africa in 2000. Three of the greatest weeks of my life!

The house to house ministry for many years. I have never really counted how many. Now though my bad heart stops me from getting outside even my home. So I answer questions here with correct answers from the Bible. At least I can use my accumulated knowledge to do some good. Then when one of my brothers or sisters come around, you can ask them further questions you want real answers to.

Ours is not a sometime or two year commitment. We dedicate our lives to Jehovah to do his will. That is a huge difference from other religions. It is the same thing Jesus spoke of about rejecting those who did do many fine works in the name of Christ and of God. Yet he rejected them as being sons of Satan. Why? He answers:

“Not everyone saying to me, ‘Lord, Lord,’ will enter into the kingdom of the heavens, but the one doing the will of my Father who is in the heavens will. 22 Many will say to me in that day, ‘Lord, Lord, did we not prophesy in your name, and expel demons in your name, and perform many powerful works in your name?’ 23 And yet then I will confess to them: I never knew YOU! Get away from me, YOU workers of lawlessness." (Matt. 7:21-23)

What they failed at was, " but the one doing the will of my Father who is in the heavens will." So they were condemned for doing their own will instead of doing God’s.

Is it scriptural for tv and radio ministries to solicit support from people who are already under a pastor/min?

Posted by admin on February 4th, 2012 and filed under ministries | 13 Comments »

Isn’t all your tithe and support supposed to go to your pastor and ministry ?

If so, why do tv and radio ministries solicit financial support from people other another pastor/ministry?

Tithe is an individual conviction to God, it is not between you and a Pastor or Church, it is between you and God.

A person should tithe where they are being fed. this *should be at your church and can be elsewhere or both.

Remember that tithe and giving are two different things as well.
"God loves a *cheerful *Giver".

If one tithes or gives feeling obligated/without proper desire, they are wasting their money, God does not want it.

Are There Ministries That Give Away Free Spanish Bibles?

Posted by admin on January 16th, 2012 and filed under ministries | 4 Comments »

I know there’s ministries that give away free English Bibles but what about Spanish ones?
I’m going to ask my pastor to start a Spanish speaking congregation.
And I was wondering if there’s a ministry out there that can help get us started by donating a few Spanish Bibles. Do you know of any? Can you send a link?

Know of any good church ministries to help the church people or others who need extra help?

Posted by admin on November 26th, 2011 and filed under ministries | 3 Comments »

Does your church have like a food bank, hospital visitation ministry, caring for the sick/homebound, bus to give rides to church?
I’m looking for more ideas to suggest at church. Thanks!

We have a ministry that helps disabled veterans and their families, and those families who have a service member overseas and are struggling here in the states.

During the holidays like Thanksgiving and Christmas we have a food collection and send out food baskets to needy families in the community. We also have a bridge ministry for the homeless where they serve a hot meal under a popular bridge that the homeless hang out at especially in the winter months.

How many government ministries are there in Sri lanka?

Posted by admin on October 25th, 2011 and filed under ministries | 1 Comment »

And what are they if possible? Because I find various information on this online and I’m not sure which one is correct.

Sorry I can’t give you the exact answer, but it is a fact that Sri Lanka has the highest number of ministries and ministers, deputy ministers that are supposed to look after those ministries on every conceivable subject you can think of.
This is due to the current government’s flawed policy of embracing and "looking after" all defecting MPs from the opposition ranks. Ministries come with tonnes of perks like luxury vehicles at no cost, official residences, back-up vehicles and security personnel, not to mention the state paying all bills- therefore the easiest way to pay back an opposition legislator who has crossed over to the government side is to reward them with a ministry or two.

What is the number of ministries in the United Kingdom ? and what are their names ?

I need to know the number of ministries in the United Kingdom governmental system and the names of these ministries.

It changes all the time… especially under Labour governments, under which ministries change so much to suit the ego of Cabinet Ministers.

The "Great Offices of State" are the Home Office, the Foreign and Commonwealth Office, and Her Majesty’s Revenue and Customs. Other than that, there is the Department of Business, Innovation and Skills, the Department of Education, the Ministry of Defence, the Department of Work and Pensions, the Department of Health, the Department for Communities and Local Government, the Department for Transport, the Department of the Environment, Food and Rural Affairs, the Department for International Development, the Department for Culture, Media and Sport, the Northern Ireland Office, the Wales Office and the Scotland Office.

Are there any Christian outreach ministries that target the United States?

Posted by admin on June 2nd, 2011 and filed under ministries | 1 Comment »

I am a member of a church in Florida that is a strong advocate for missions and serving, however the vast majority of service opportunities are either in our local city, or in other countries. I am just wondering if anyone out there is a part of/knows about any good Christian ministries that intentionally serve people throughout the US.
I’m most interested in some kind of organization that coordinates trips or outreaches across the whole country. Habitat for Humanity is one example, but I’m interested in discovering more like this.
