I’m a 23 year women who has a ministry for hockey players I’ve been working closely with the minor league coach. I set up prayer partners and have prayed over the guys. In the off season I helped one of the players with his camp. I wanna pray over the boys more, maybe become their chaplain and do other stuff how do I ask him then prove I can handle
be confident.
Dont force the subject, but at a special moment, turn and say "I’ve been thinking, i know i can handle more responsibilities. Would you mind giving me some more work to do that could help me learn what it takes to becoming their chaplain?" and take it from there.
A member of the church I attended had a Director of Bible Studies.
At one bible study, this individual asked for prayer and said "I am a Gambler" and continued to explain in detail how gambling had effected his life.
20 people were at the bible study and heard this. Should the person have been removed from their position as Director of Bible Studies? They are still there, sometimes sharing what gambling is/was doing to them.
I left the church because of this after speaking to the Pastor. The person is still teaching bible (last I heard still gambling too).
Since you are not too far from Lancaster, CA, consider attending Lancaster Baptist Church. The pastor is Dr. Paul Chappell. I can assure you that you won’t run into that problem there!
The Bible calls it a sin–not a disease.
Madmarv, is 100% correct.
My groups name is "Make Me a Blessing" but I wanted to add to it "Prayer Weavers Ministry" So how can I do that and keep the same site.
Can I change the name or email address/URL of a group after I’ve set it up? (yes)

We make prayer shawls, hats and scarves for needy children, and other items. We are having trouble reaching out to people because of the lack of supplies. Is there anyone who is willing to donate yarn or cash to buy yarn? It would be greatly appreciated, and any donations will be included in our bulletin. Thank you.
Try www freecycle.org. You can join a freecycle group near you, and ask list members for their unused yarn. You can also get to freecycle through yahoo groups. Freecycle is a wonderful organization. Their goal is to find homes for unwanted items, and keep them out of landfills. You can post a "want" if you want a certain item, or "offer" if you have something to give away. It takes a bit of patience getting what you need, because as in life, there are more takers than givers on freecycle. When you post, give a brief explanation why you need yarn. Interested people will email you privately, and you can make arrangements to meet. For safety, the first time I meet anyone, I always arrange to meet them in a public place, like the post office or coffee shop. I have given away a ton of items, and I have received items too. Just remember that this is all free, no money involved. I have also made some great friends! Hope this helps.
The closing prayer of Michael Jackson’s unforgettable Memorial on July 7, 2009 at the Staples Center in Los Angeles as spoken by Pastor Lucious Smith of the Friendship Baptist Church in Pasadena, California.
ABOUT Pastor Smith:
Pastor Lucious W. Smith has pastored the Friendship Baptist Church in Pasadena, California since 1996. “The Jewel of Old Pasadena” stands as a glowing reminder of the African American presence in this part of the city. While remaining true to the church’s historical roots, Pastor Smith has sought to keep the ministries of the church relevant with contemporary application of the Gospel message. Having been raised in Friendship since birth, the relationship he has with the church is very personal. His love for his work is only surpassed by his love for the people whom he shepherds. Pastor Smith is committed to a biblical expository ministry and delivers his sermons whereas even a little child can comprehend.
Pastor Smith currently serves as the President of the Interdenominational Ministerial Alliance of Greater Pasadena (IMA). He desires to create an atmosphere of unity and fellowship among Christian Clergy, resulting in a unified presence in the cities in which they serve. He believes that there are no “Big I’s” or “Little You’s”, and that every ministry ordained by God has value, whatever the size. He believes that “There are no small churches. Everything God creates is intended to thrive and grow.”

It seems entirely credible.
The study has cost $millions and has taken 10 years to complete.
1,802 patients at six hospitals.
‘The researchers asked the members of three congregations — St. Paul’s Monastery in St. Paul; the Community of Teresian Carmelites in Worcester, Mass.; and Silent Unity, a Missouri prayer ministry near Kansas City — to deliver the prayers, using the patients’ first names and the first initials of their last names.
The congregations were told that they could pray in their own ways, but they were instructed to include the phrase, "for a successful surgery with a quick, healthy recovery and no complications."

Edit:Panda Hunter, read the article please.
(((Olga))): I did google him, but there is tons of stuff about him and I can’t find the show you mention, do you have any other details?
Joshua bear, as I already said to Panda hunter, read the article before you jump to conclusions please.
Edit: Thanks Olga, the only response I have, is to give you an insight into this sceptics mind and the first thing I thought was that the mass prayer/silence had been set to coincide with weather forecasts that indicated these storms, sorry. We’re just think differently you and I
Edit: Why are people so prepared to jump to conclusions, the ones who whine about prayer not working haven’t read the article.
Bonus question: Why would anyone respond to a question asking for their opinions on an article that they hadn’t read?
Edit: Thanks Olga, but promise never to show it with a ‘Whiskery’ kiss
Quite obvious, take 2 people who are identical with an identical illness, 1 wants to get better and believes he/she will and the other doesnt, the one that wants to get better will most likely recover quicker because of the power of the human mind and how easily influenced it is. God did not cure these people, the doctors did and the influence of prayer had a positive impact.

I mean when you go do you get restless, and not get anything out of the service? I would go to church if it was Holy Spirit filled to the point where miricles are being perfermed in churches, peiople falling over through the anointing of the Holy Spirit, and people seeing into the Heavenly realm. But most of the churches I have been to expect for one which is too far away from me, most have been dead. Why is that? I would rather worship God at home instead of church. And regarding tithing, I have prayer ministry onece per week and tithe 10 dollors per week, and I am on a pension. So I just need to know why so many churches feel dead?
Your appalling spelling gives you away every time Leanne!
This is the third account that i have found of yours today!
How can i tell??? I would love to say magick, as i know how much you love the Wiccans like myself! But alas it is just the details and the bad spelling! ( and the ip address)
Now to answer your question……Your church makes you feel dead because you are not following what is taught there,You lie and spew hate all over the place!Because you cant live up to the expectations, it leaves you feeling empty…..thats obvious….
