Have you thought about what really is the difference…?

Posted by admin on March 1st, 2010 and filed under healing ministry | 12 Comments »

between a Christian and a non-Christian? Isn’t it greed? This is what I found out from a well-known evangelist in the healing ministry:

“Where your treasure is,” Matthew 6:21 declares, “there will your heart be also.”

The difference between a nonbeliever and the believer is greed versus giving.

So, what are your thoughts on this? Does it make sense to you? Does it ring true? Do you see this is the people you know? Of course, we can’t tell from the ones we meet in YA but you can see how your family and friends are. God bless you and thanks for considering this.

Marcia

I agree.

A believer in Jesus is better.

If not, then why are nearly 100 percent of charities religious?

I don’t recall any atheist charities with people wearing shirts with a giant "A" for atheist on them.

Yeah, especially those holy tv evangelists stealing little old ladies bank accounts and playing on their fears of death.

i think the real difference between a christian and non-christian is that christians believe that jesus was the messiah.

I work with people each day from many different countries, some belong to a religions, many don’t. There is no way that the Christians are somehow more generous people than the others.
I think to say that only Christians are ‘giving" is insulting to the majority of the world’s population.
Don’t listen to what some evangelist says or Matthew from however long ago, get out into the wold and you’ll see how ridiculous you were to consider such a thing as true.

You have to specify your understanding of that verse. You can’t expect us to read minds. The way you wrote it, we cannot be certain of your own interpretation. Do you mean that the believer is the greedy one or the nonbeliever?

A Christian is alive to God and has the righteousness of God. A nonbeliever is dead to God and is held captive in sin. God bless you.

To me the difference between a christian and a non- christian is that a christian has jesus christ in there heart’s and excepts him as his lord and savior and and a non christian doesn’t. Also people might say they are christians and think they are because they go to church all time and that’s it but there is more to it ten just going to church you have to have him in your heart. Anyway God bless you. This is just my opinion.

I disagree. Anyone can be greedy. This verse tells us that whatever we value most is our ‘treasure’ As a Christian God should be our treasure. Our minds, abilities and time should be focused on worshiping and pleasing God and serving others.
If we choose something or someone else as our ‘treasure’ then we will devote our efforts in that direction.
