So– I’m a gay dude … So– I’m a gay dude and a solid Christian. Yup- some reparative therapy is awful. I’ve done that for four years. I just want to say that its ok to hate the things that people do: I hate what some anti-gay people do. I hate what some pro-gay people do. Sometimes I hate what the Church does. Notice how the lady … Notice how the lady does not insult the church. why is it that all these comments either insult the church, God and/or Jesus or insult homosexuals? the point of this is to be open minded. gay people, gay-supporters, should not jump to conclusions about christians in general or the church or waste time insulting them. anti-gay christians, rather than wasting your time attempting to convert people over youtube, how about you try and understand what gays go through from society? Certainly the … Certainly the evidence for re-orientation therapy is questionable, but that does not directly affect the evidence for God’s existence. A false understanding of one aspect of a belief does not invalidate the entirety of the belief.
i would just like … i would just like to point out that the bible is NOT the word of god. it was written two THOUSAND years ago by men who claimed they saw what happened. it was passed on for centuries, many of those centuries through word of mouth until is was finally written down. it was translated in hundreds of different languages. to say that the entire bible was not changed over all this time is complete bull. to say that you think the bible is the word of god is just ignorance and stupidity.
I find that … I find that interesting that the “completely successful” 4% end up surrendering their entire lives to work for the ministry itself. They find safety and purpose in the group when they felt wounded and disgusted with themselves in regular society, but to stay there they sacrifice everything they used to be and do for themselves.
That if anything sounds like a cult. Fear keeps you in but breeds personal security.

Where are these ‘ … Where are these ‘tons of people?’ My research shows me that all these ex-gays still gays. That is why they narrow the definition of homosexuality to mean the sexual acts, because they know they still have the attraction issue dealing with, which is what makes a person gay!

Also what makes this exgay thing suspect is that every major medical group deems it as harmful and unnecessary. The only groups that endorse or promote exgay therapy are religious groups. That smacks of unscientific methods and basis.
