I am manager and lead singer for a Christian band in Texas. We would like to be able to go into the prisons and share our music with the inmates….How do we do that? How to get started?

For AJ and those like-minded:
Psalm 14:1 (Whole Chapter)
Only fools say in their hearts,“There is no God.”They are corrupt, and their actions are evil;not one of them does good!
Psalm 53:1 (Whole Chapter)
Only fools say in their hearts,“There is no God.”They are corrupt, and their actions are evil;not one of them does good!
I was once part of a prison ministry. Contact the chaplain at the facility where you want to serve. You will then have to spend a few hours on a Saturday at a volunteer orientation, which will be at the administration offices on one of the campuses. They will take you through all the do’s and don’ts and will enter your information into the system and will do a background check on you.
Keep proclaiming the truth. This will be a rewarding experience.

EDIT: i’m sorry that AJ left you such a negative message, but i don’t think that warrants leaving a bad message for all atheists.

Contact the Chaplin of the jail…he/she should be able to help. especially since most jails offer services weekly (sometimes more) for the inmates..my mom ministers at the women’s jail…it is a very rewarding experience especially for the inmates.

Singing about a lie isn’t going to help anyone – most people in prison are already Christians, while Atheists make up the smallest percentage of any prison population. Maybe you should sing about abandoning mythology.
