standing round the table
spinning fables
and signing autographs
can’t you hear them laugh
ha ha ha ha ha
in their secrecies
they plan their strategies
it’s called hypocrisy
and we believe
mornings
they tell me everything
that i need to know
or i care to know
well i can visualize
the look in your eyes
the horror
as the plane goes down
and the siren sounds
we can’t believe
we can’t believe
in the east where the bear is dancing
in the west where the eagle flies
in the middle we stand our ground
the forces pull us down down down
tensions on both sides
we’re paralyzed and victimized
we’re terrified and petrified
demoralized and mortified
of genocide and suicide
and patricide and cyanide
we’re pacified by every side
force-fed pride and then we die for them
we die for them
in the east where the bear is dancing
in the west where the eagle flies
in the middle we stand our ground
the forces pull us down down down
we believe

Possibly the best …
Possibly the best industrial song of all time. Curious that industrial music reached it’s peak at the height of the cold war (circa 1988-89)(Notice the lyrics of this song are about the Russian “bear” and the American “Eagle”). I posit that when the wall came down, so did the potency of industrial.

Yup! I’m well aware …
I actually have Graeme Revell’s score of “The Crow” on CD. I think his first movie scoring gig was on the film “Dead Calm” starring Nicole Kidman, if I’m not mistaken?
Yup! I’m well aware of that, and thanks for the heads up o that anyways.

@angelforfreedom …
@angelforfreedom You know Graeme Revell from SPK is doing soundtracks for Hollywood now?

This is BY FAR one …
This is BY FAR one of THE BEST industrial albums of all time. If there was an Industrial Album Top 20 this should definitely be in the Top 10…probably just a few notches below the greats like Throbbing Gristle (of course), SPK and Einsturzende Neubauten.

YEEEEEEEEEEAAAHHHHHHHHHH!!!
The only other albums I have that are similarly prized is the Sisterhood “Gift” (1986a.k.a.Sisters of Mercy) or Controlled Bleeding (various), and of Course The Blackouts Lost Souls Club EP (Wax Trax)….
When possible…used to go and see ‘em all at Ground Zero…circa 1985-9 in Boston-Cambridge…of course, that Ministry show at the Channel Club in ‘86, when Al showed up with Front 242…DAMN…blew my head off.
