Are these good sentences for the words minister and ministry?

Posted by admin on February 21st, 2010 and filed under ministry | 2 Comments »

The minister of the church was rewarded with money.

My aunt thought the ministry at the cafe was terrible.
Ok so my new sentence should be:

My aunt though the ministry at the church was terrible.

Thanx so much

Both are grammatically correct but the second sentence doesn’t make much sense. Ministry isn’t usually in a cafe, so you need to explain what happens at the cafe that is a ministry: is food given to poor there, for example!

A ministry doesn’t take place at a cafe though. At least, for the most part it doesn’t. I would change cafe to church or something.
