"i am praying… for you… it truly a sad day to see a brother in jail for a crime he did not commit… i am heartbroken for you and your family."
"Glad the Lord brought me to this just in time. May God grant you favor as He did for Joseph. I will be fasting and praying with you out here in Oregon. God has used your ministry to bless my family in so many ways. My young daughters love your seminars as much as I do. Thank you for being faithful to the call. I pray you will be at home with your family very soon."
"My husband and I are praying for you both as well. We live in South Africa. I prayed for my husband’s salvation for 29 years. A few months ago, he quietly gave his life to Jesus all on his own."
God just isn’t listening. Mr. Hovind’s appeal for a rehearing before the Supreme Court has been denied.
Surely god hears these prayers. So why does god not help poor mr Hovind get out of prison?
I’m sure he’s spending a lot of time on his knees in prison.

prayers don’t work so if you have evidence to help him out show that instead of whispering into your useless hands

Prayer in the Church of Atheism Works
In the open discussions at the Church of Atheism, we commune with reason and the wisdom of women and men, in devotion to the wisdom that can be gained, praise, and thanksgiving. In this world, we need human answers to human problems, that is why Atheist prayer is needed. Atheist prayers are the only exception to the rule of prayers not working. So, come to the Church of Athesim and pray tell your thoughts on religious concerns.

The story of Elijah’s prayer contest in the Book of Kings stands out to me as an example of how to "prove" that a god exists. Elijah sets out to prove to the local pagans that God is powerful by having a prayer contest. Elijah sets up 2 bulls to be sacrificed; the pagans pray to their god to light theirs on fire, & Elijah prays to Yahweh to light his on fire. God supposedly lights Elijah’s sacrifice on fire even though it is covered with water. However, this cannot be recreated which indicates the testimony was a legendary lie.
Would you ever have a contest like this? Would your god show his power & existence if believers got together & prayed for such a visible sign? According to the tests done above, your god is no where to be found. What do you make of this?

God answers prayer in many different ways as I am sure Kent understands. The charges were bogus but will stand until a free country gets involved in his release and shames the US into ethical action such as what happened in South Africa.
. Tax law was not the only charge against Kent. Kent is one man. His wife is also in jail but on the world scene this is pretty small potatoes.
I don’t expect anyone to come in and rescue Kent but as in many other countries where injustice has prevailed he will likely be honored as a hero in future generations who have a better view of reality without scientific repression. This is about freedom of speech, not taxes or assault.
Up until this time theories have been amusing, delusional, regressive, accurate and vital. They have been good and bad but now they are dangerous.
They have taken on a life of their own and it is repressive of free thought. Doesnt anyone get how dangerous this is?
